This episode follows the Gladwell family’s struggle to uncover what police and social services have recorded about them through Subject Access Requests — only to be stonewalled and misled at every turn. It exposes how bureaucratic obstruction and institutional blindness to coercive control left Lizzie isolated, vulnerable and trapped, while her family battled grief, faith and a system that abandoned its duty to safeguard.
When agencies tasked with protection become the architects of obstruction, the vulnerable are abandoned. This is why I am telling our story.
