THU 25/06/26: New Single – Predator
The third single has been released.
‘Predator’ captures the essence of the experience of knowing a car was parked, waiting patiently, outside our house with the sole purpose of driving off with our daughter the day after she turned eighteen. This was done not only to remove her from the lives of us – her mum and dad – but also from the lives of everyone who knew and loved her: her entire extended family, her church, her godparents. It was an intentional, calculated act, pre-seeded by Coral making abhorrent, baseless, false accusations about me as the engineered pretext for the sudden removal of a vulnerable young person with FASD. Lies that were gullibly accepted without question or any investigation whatsoever by Focus Adult Social Work.
“No warmth,
just the predatory chill
of a pre-arranged plot,
a car waiting to swallow its prey.
The engine hissed
with the promise
of a caged life.”
The song has a dark, gritty vibe, powered by electric guitars, some AI, some by a real guitarist.
The predatory removal of our daughter took place on the 21st July 2023, a date forever seared in our memories. We have not been able to see Lizzie at all for over 2½ years.
21st July 2026 will be the date of release of the debut Gladwell album, entitled ‘The Heart of The Trap‘. As with the three singles so far (The Machine, Invisible Chains and now Predator), the album is not a complete narrative – it is not the podcast set to music! Rather, it is a collection of glimpses, windows into events or emotional responses – the absolute heartbreak of the comprehensive, sudden removal of our loved daughter from the fabric of our lives, and the unfathomable institutional support given to the predator by the local institutional agencies.

Lizzie Gladwell, a vulnerable young person with a formal diagnosis of FASD, was taken by predatory removal just one day after her eighteenth birthday. She was then systematically isolated, cut off from everyone who knew and loved her, by means of coercive and controlling behaviour. Individuals with FASD are known to be extremely susceptible to manipulation. The local agencies tasked with safeguarding have only exacerbated Lizzie’s comprehensive isolation and the consequent harm.
“Isolating her from her family is abuse. Enough.” (HM Government, VAWG Campaign 2025)
